Tuesday's, September 20th's Homework Assignment

4.4 1-86 E.O.O.,which covers Adding/Subtracting Rational Expressions.  Remember, the key to this is factoring, so if you ever get lost, just start factoring!  I will link videos below to help you with these sections; 4.4 is split into two parts: one for like denominators and the second for unlike denominators.

Also, you may do test corrections on the following problems and earn half of the points you missed on those problems; numbers:10, 11, 12, 19

The test corrections are due at the beginning of class Thursday and each missed problem needs to be re-worked on a separate sheet of paper stapled to the front of the test with your name written clearly on it.

If you have any questions or concerns, please leave them in the comment section below!

Thursday, September 20th's Homework Assignment

There is not a new homework assignment tonight.  You just need to do the homework on multiplying/dividing Rational Expressions (4.3 1-66 E.O.O.), which was assigned on Tuesday.  This section is also the beginning of the material on Test 2.

Remember, the key to Rational Expressions is factoring.  So, factor the numerators and the denominators; when multiplying Rational Expressions, remember to reduce then multiply across.  Also remember, Rational Expressions CANNOT be divided, so you're going to flip the second Rational Expression then multiply them together...keeping the answer in factored form.

I will link a video below covering the homework in 4.3.  If you have any questions or concerns, leave them in the comment section below.  Have a great and safe weekend and don't worry about how you did on today's test!

Tuesday, September 18th's Homework Assignment

Last Thursday, Mr. Phillips was unable to cover as much material as he had hoped, so you need to do 4.2 1-42 E.O.O. and 4.3 1-66 E.O.O., which covers reducing Rational Expressions and multiplying/dividing Rational Expressions.  Homework through 4.2 will be on the first test on Thursday.  With that said, the worksheet, studying for the test, and the labs should be your main concern right now.  Remember, the worksheet and the labs are due at the beginning of class Thursday.  So, 4.3 is the beginning of Test 2.

I will link the videos below to help you with 4.2 and 4.3.  If you have any questions or concerns, please leave them in the comment section below.

The Rules of Exponents

Thursday, September, 13th's Homework Assignment

4.1 1-90 E.O.O.; 4.2 1-42 E.O.O., which covers the Rules of Exponents and Rational Expressions.

Most importantly, complete the worksheet that was handed out in class today.  It is due September, 20th and it is a review for the test; it also is worth more points than the test.  Try to get it done over the weekend because I can clarify any questions or concerns you may have on the worksheet Tuesday.  Now, I will NOT do the worksheet for you, but I will look over it and point you in the right direction if needed.

So, your first test is a week from today, September, 20th, and all of the labs and the worksheet is due at the beginning of class.  Do not forget to bring a print out of you lab scores with you on this day; Mr. Phillips does NOT accept labs that are late.

Below, I have link a video to help you with tonight's homework.  If you have any questions or concerns, please leave them in the comment section below.
